Anjit doesn’t speak much about his love for art but his work says it all.
‘I was interested in art ever since I was a child, I used to sketch,’ says Anjit who is inspired by nature for his artworks and wants to pursue a career as an architect. When most of his classmates rush home after their class, Anjit spends his time at the College to finish his designs: ‘I like to spend extra time at the College. The teachers are very friendly and they are very helpful.’
He is studying A Level 3D Art and BTEC in Art and Design. When asked why he took these subjects, he says: ‘If you take 3D courses, you can go into architecture and I want to design buildings, inspired by nature.’ Either it’s 3D design, sketching or working with clay, Anjit is comfortable with any form of art. Showing me his completed mask of a Japanese Samurai, he told me the idea behind it: ‘we had an assignment themed on legends and heroes. I researched about Japanese samurai and made my own version of it.’
Not only his teachers and classmates, he has impressed even the lecturers at Ravensbourne Univeristy with his impressive online portfolio. He plans to study there after his time at the College. We wish him all the best!
